Valentine One Radar Detector Moment of the Month
April 2019: Three's a crowd

Outside of Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington State sits a little town called Roy. Roy has a population of 900 and an embarrassment of law-enforcement riches. The State Patrol uses KA band but the Pierce County sheriffs—Roy's local enforcers—use the old K band.

What makes Roy difficult is the use of flashing K-band radar signs that show your speed and tell you to slow down. These signs face both directions out of Roy and throw two signals that my Valentine One picks up. Well, the other day it was showing a three count where it normally has two, and sure enough, the wily deputy was sitting in the shadow of the speed limit sign waiting for a sucker to pounce on.

V1's Bogey Counter gave him away in plenty of time. Thanks Mike!
